Portland Trailblazers superstar Damian Lillard is not only one of the best guards in the NBA, he’s also built a solid music career. His rap songs and albums have been a hit with his fans and he’s displayed some legit talent. Damian Lillard’s rap career is here to stay.
Below is a guide to buying and listening to the albums and singles that Lillard has released since his first album in 2016. His music handle is DAME D.O.L.L.A. (Stands for – Different On Levels the Lord Approves).
DAMIAN LILLARD RAP ALBUMS
The Letter O
Released in October 2016 DAME’s first rap album peaked at #119 on the Billboard top 200 music charts. It included 12 tracks and appearances by Lil Wayne, Jamie Foxx and a few other notable musicians. The O represents three different places he’s lived - Oakland, CA where he grew up, Ogden, UT, and the state of Oregon. The album got positive reviews and established that Lillard has some legit music skills.
Confirmed
One year later in 2017 DAME released his second album titled Confirmed. It contained 13 songs and was released through his independent label Front Page Music. Lil Wayne made another appearance and this album made it all the way to #72 on the BillBoard charts. Lillard mentioned in interviews that he’s evolving as an artist album to album and he’s happy his fans are enjoying his music.
BIG D.O.L.L.A.
In the summer of 2019 DAME released his third album. Lil Wayne was back again and there’s a total of 10 tracks. He got help promoting the album from fellow NBA stars Lebron James and Steph Curry as well as Common and Pusha T. At this point DAME’s album releases get a lot of attention and he’s widely known as the best rapper in the NBA.

Damian Lillard Diss Tracks
We had to create a separate section just to discuss Lillard’s diss tracks with Shaq. Back in his era Shaq released a number of rap songs. He believes he’s the best NBA rapper ever. Lillard disagrees, and has publicly stated he now wears the “top NBA rapper” crown. This back and forth led to both Shaq and Lillard releasing competing diss tracks about each other.
