Top 5 Allen Iverson Highlight Videos

NBA legend Allen Iverson is not only one of the greatest scorers in NBA history, but also one of the most fearless. The man known as “AI” and “The Answer,” who was a mere 6’0,” stood head and shoulders above everybody else.

Iverson finished his 14-year NBA career with a slew of accolades. His 24,368 points ranks him 25th all time. The 2001 NBA MVP also earned 11 NBA All-Star nods and three All-NBA First Team berths. He was also the best among the highly-touted Class of ’96 (which included Kobe Bryant, Ray Allen, and Steve Nash), winning the NBA Rookie of the Year Award.

Throughout his stellar NBA career, A.I. wowed us to no end. We feel these five Allen Iverson highlight videos are the best of the lot:

Allen Iverson’s Top 10 Career Plays

There’s no better way of getting your top A.I. highlights fix than from the National Basketball Association’s official YouTube account. This one is a bona fide smorgasbord.

If you didn’t get to watch Iverson jumping over taller opposition this is the highlight reel for you. You’ll also marvel at Iverson’s innate ability to break his defenders’ (note we wrote that in plural form) ankles night in and night out.

The video builds to an exciting climax. What was Iverson’s best play of his NBA career? Hint: it was against one of the greatest – if not the greatest player of all time.

Allen Iverson’s Ultimate Crossover Highlight Reel

When somebody mentions “crossover,” Allen Iverson probably comes first to mind. In fact, “A.I”. and “crossover” are synonymous. Here’s a guy who arguably has better handles than Bob Cousy, Pistol Pete Maravich, Isiah Thomas, and Jason “White Chocolate” Williams. In today’s NBA, the likes of Kyrie Irving, Chris Paul, and Stephen Curry come close to Iverson’s ball-handling skills, which were Globetrotter-esque.

Like we said, Iverson made a habit of breaking opponents’ ankles on game night. If defender broken ankles was a statistic, Iverson would emerge as the all-time leader. Nobody did it better. This highlight reel proves our point

The Answer’s Career All-Star Game Highlights

Allen Iverson was an 11-time NBA All-Star during his legendary 14-year NBA career. With that many All-Star games, A.I. produced many memorable moments against the NBA’s finest. You’ll see him making mincemeat of Tim Duncan’s defence, collaborating with Michael Jordan on the fast-break, dishing the rock to Vinsanity for the tomahawk jam, and more.

You can see The Answer’s vaunted arsenal in full display here. He’ll dazzle you not only with his signature crossover, but also his passing skills, shot creativity, and flair for the dramatic. Simply put, Allen Iverson was one of the most exciting players of his generation.

Iverson’s MVP Tear During The 2000-01 NBA Season

Throughout his NBA career, Allen Iverson always had a scorer’s mentality – if you give him a quarter of an inch, he’ll make you pay. Even if you were draped all over him, he’ll still find a way to score. He was just that good.

While the 2000-01 NBA season wasn’t Iverson’s best statistical year, it was arguably the best in his career for one simple reason: he almost singlehandedly led the upstart Philadelphia 76ers to the 2001 NBA Finals title against a dominant Los Angeles Lakers.

The road to redemption wasn’t an easy one. While Philly beat the Indiana Pacers in four games in the first round, it went the distance against the Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks in the ensuing playoff series. Iverson’s shining moment was a memorable 37-point outburst in Game 1 of the 2001 NBA Finals. Unfortunately, Shaq and Kobe’s Lakers were too much. They beat the Sixers in five games to capture their 13th NBA title.

Nevertheless, you’ll enjoy A.I.’s unforgettable 2000-01 NBA campaign.
